Windows Vista Home Premium CD for Dell Laptop
August 1st, 2016
Not a good idea!
Vista is one of Microsoft’s worst OS’s. And any computer that can run Vista is capable of running Win7.
So if anything, You should go with Win7 and not Vista! Win7 Ultimate SP1-U x86 (32bit) EN:

I’m only providing a link to the 32bit version as Dell doesn’t offer 64bit drivers and your laptop originally came with 2GB of ram (You haven’t upgraded it, Have you?)
Anyways, Better download the drivers in advance and keep em in a safe place (I.E flash drive, external hard drive, or just burn em to a disc) here’s the link:
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/product/inspiron-1525
As you can see, Dell doesn’t provide Win7 drivers for your laptop, But that’s fine, As Vista drivers are also compatible with it!
Anyways, To burn the ISO to a disc, Use imgburn (Along with the “write image file to disc” option)

Or use this tool if you wanna install it from a flash drive instead:
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool
Your flash drive has to be of 4GB capacity or bigger for this to be possible.
Clearly, You’re gonna have to adjust the BIOS boot device priority settings accordingly in order to boot from it.
Do not input a serial number when it asks you to (Just skip that part!)
And after you’re all done, Use this activator:

Good luck!
Nice one , I’ve been struggling with Vista activation the past few days… you saved my day finally, thanks!!!
Thanks a lot brother!
New link for the loader..

It can actually activate Vista….But I wouldn’t bother !
As mentioned above you’d be better using Win 7 SP1, however, if it’s a Dell use the activate by phone method for Vista as you have a COA.
There are probably plenty of Vista uploads around if you use Google (find a Dell OEM one).
