Disabling In-game Overlay for pirated version of Watch Dogs?

Hello, I downloaded Leaders version of Watch Dogs from this site. The first time running the game everything went smoothly but the second time the screen would go (and stay) black upon the loading screen finishing after pressing continue or new game. I googled the problem and apparently it can be fixed by disabling ingame overlay. The only problem is that this is done in UPlay and UPlay is removed from pirated versions of watch dogs.
Is there any way to achieve the desired result while still using a pirated version of Watch Dogs?

Here’s an idea. Install the game like the normal retail version. Don’t crack it. Launch the game and when Uplay opens up cancel the activation window and go to the settings and disable the overlay and the save modified settings. Close Uplay and apply the crack and see if that works.
