Anyone familiar with .TP0 files :?
August 6th, 2016
I’ve searched google but most results are very old and wondered if anyone has had these files before. They come from a digital video recorder, and they’re able to transfer files from it to a usb, but can’t play on computer. What they are wanting to do is burn some shows they’ve recorded to dvd. One search says convertxtodvd would work, but not sure. Another search says Nero 9 will burn them. Problem i have also is i don’t really know this person much, so i’m only willing to give them free programs to try, nothing cracked in other words. So that may hinder them getting it done. One file they have is over 2GB, so impossible to even upload for others to test. Any advice appreciated Other than saying just download shows they want, as i’m not saying anything about what i can get.

CXD is for creating DVD’s. But did you actually try it, Did you try nero? Anyway i’d try xilisoft video converter first, then CXD
Thanks for reply. I downloaded Nero free for them and they tried it, but it said you needed Nero Essentials or something. As for CXD, it’s not free, so if i got them a trial version it would leave water mark on it. I have my own portable versions of CXD, but i’m not prepared to give them anything cracked. Other problem is i don’t have admin rights, so when i try to get some program for them, i can’t download it, as it’s only the installer, so when you click it, it’s being blocked from downloading the whole file, because it’s wanting to change something on computer i’m not able to. Other problem too is they don’t have net. I think they tried program from your 2nd link, but i think they said it doesn’t work, or it may be they don’t know what they are doing. CXD is supposed to support that format, so i may see if they’ll give me a file to try and use my version.
Nero essentials is part of the nero suite. the CXD setup you download is the full installer. It doesn’t download anythin else. You also do know this is a board right? Just download it from here :p. Some things can also be “fixed” by simply rightclicking the installer and selecting “run as administrator”
I’m only prepared to give them advice that requires use of free programs. I don’t just tell anyone everything i do. If it was for me, of course i’d use whatever i could get hands on. I’ve downloaded that video converter you said, and will give it to them to try. But they’ve mentioned to me that model of recorder they have encrypts the files. So would it be best for me to just drop it altogether and let them do it by themselves. I don’t want to waste my time trying things if it’s now impossible.
You are probably supposed to use the recorder itself to burn DVDs ?
What about MediaInfo, does that show whats inside the file.
If you want freeware, I guess you could try Freemake Video Converter…Maybe change the extension if you can find what’s in the file.
But if it encrypted, then maybe out of luck..
Thanks , but it only has a hard drive, no dvd at all. I was thinking about Freemake so i’ll download it for them. I did get them to try FormatFactory and i also asked them to see if anything picked it up by changing ext to mpg or mp4, but they said nothing worked. But i’m not sure how well their computer knowledge is.
