Plug-Ins for CS5

Hi there!
I just downloaded the new CS5 and its working fine. But I am trying to get my imagenomic plug-in to work but it’s not showing up in the filters drop down menu and when I try to us the plug-in, PS says it can’t open up the file. Anyone know how to import in plug-ins for CS5? Any help would be great!

Did you install the plugin or manually copy it to the PS plugin folder?
Some plugs need their own extra files and are not just a copy to folder installation.

I tried installing the plugin but it says it’s not compatible with the host and then it asks me if i want to add it manually so i do and choose photoshop cs5 and it gives me an error every time. i’m so ~censored~ when it comes to this stuff lol

In most of the cases you need to install the plugin at the “Plug-in” folder of directory you’ve installed PS CS5.(it means you need to change the directory at installation process to “Plugin” directory).
If it doesn’t work maybe the plugin is not compatible with that version of PS, need newer version of Plugin.

It means one or more of a few things:
Your OS isn’t compatible with that plugin (xp type plugin on win7, for e.g.)
Your OS bit depth isn’t right – 64 bit plugin on 32 bit OS
Did you get a portable version of PS – some plugs don’t like it?
“says it’s not compatible with the host” – usually means the wrong version of PS, but it can also mean that the registry entries aren’t right.

it’s weird cause it worked just fine when i had pscs4 on my macbook leopard. now that i have a new macbook with the lion system and pscs5 it doesn’t work. i downloaded imagenomic on here from someone else and I just can’t get it to work. i’ll try downloading another one and see if that works. Thanks so much for all your wisdom and help!
