Need help with uTorrent optimization, on Comcast DL 150/sec Mbps / 25 Mbps UL.

August 5th, 2016

Hi all,
I am having a hard time getting utorrent to attain its full potential with my download speeds.
If i download a file through IDM, the files download at 20-22mbps/sec but with utorrent using a heavily seeded torrent it is at 3mbps/sec the uploads are merely. Torrents i am downloading are seeded in 5 figures, and leeches barely 2 digits.
These are free leech torrents on private trackers.
Well, i have tried multiple torrents.. and the result is the same.
I don’t mind adding 100+ torrents to download at the same time, but the speed sucks.
Can someone on Comcast with similar up/dl speed share their optimization parameters please?

It’s pretty much the same for me. I get max speeds up to 3mb/s on IDM when I download from websites. On utorrent the max i get is 2-2.5. I believe it has to do with seeders but, you can try port forwarding or changing some settings around.

ISP’s throttle (limit) the speed of p2p traffic.
