should i install the windows without all updates installed or with all updates installed??
I fear it uses more RAM if there are more updates?

Answer #1
Updates are necessary to stabilize the OS and close security loop holes as well as updating drivers and so on..
Whether it uses more RAM or not you can’t afford not to have updates..

You have to think about updates as an replacement or modification of existing functionality.
E.g. the copy function of windows explorer. For the filecopy it takes a special amount of memory but crashes by trying to copy 1 mio files.
The next upcoming update is going to fix that issue. The amount of memory needed for the file copy CAN be higher, if the update comes with a new copy function that allocates more memory but assures that 1 mio files can be copied without crash.
So that’s a very theoretical situation that CAN happen in rare cases.
Generally you should indeed keep your system on the lates update patch available to avoid security and stability issues.
Answer #3
Udates always slow my system down and make it unstable
Answer #4
I’ve used all updates and have not noticed anymore ram usage..
Just a general build up of old stuff is what usually slows Windows down.
A fresh install, updates or not, will speed things up!
Answer #5
I’d say the probability of updates slowing your computer down are equal to speeding it up (OS optimization) But regardless, Microsoft makes those updates not because they want to, it’s because they need to (security bugs, stability). I doubt they would pay some engineers to make updates that serve no purpose but to slow your computer down.
Answer #6
Updates are necessary, however you can cherry pick which updates you wish to install by researching what each one actually relates to, for instance one of the recent-ish Windows 8.1 updates related to a security issue and was along the lines of ‘security issue when opening Skype on a Wednesday when its a little bit overcast outside and pressing ‘X’ 5 times will invoke the wrath of demons’ , so if you don’t use Skype and never intend to that update would be completely irrelevant. So each update needs to be taken upon its own merit.
Answer #7
I haven’t noticed any problems or excessive ram usage on any windows computer that I’ve owned and I always update.
do the right thing and keep your PC updated, it’s in your best interest
Answer #8
There is one update that never should be installed. KB971033 they may make a similar one with a new name in the future, but for now, this is it.
