Question about Windows 7 updates

Are any of them really necessary if you have reliable AVS installed? I ask because I’ve noticed that some of them are almost a gigbyte in size. It doesn’t matter much now, but it may later on. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.YES, Absolutely, and many of them are not just vulnerability fixes, but performance and compatibility fixes too.. a workaround to having to install all the updates is to get a copy with all the recent updates slip-streamed into the win 7 ISO.. I need one myself, anyone have one?

totally agree with radios , but there are a few things you should know about them windows sometimes releases updates totally unnecessary but shown as “important” , like the one they released recently for upgrade to win 10 , or some tracking tool named diagtrack which you have to disable through services if you dont want it.
also wait a few days to install updates since sometimes they can be buggy and may cause serious problems , especially on laptops. patches are generally released on tuesday, wait until friday then re-scan available updates to install.
