Whats the difference between Portable and Normal Versions?

Hi, i wanna download Dreamweaver cs4 , what is the difference between Portable and Full sized normal versions???

portable versions have been modified so that they a) dont need installation and b) dont leave configuration files on the host pc, so that they can be easly moved to another computer, retaining settings
the down side of portable versions is that parts of the software are usualy removed to make them smaller (eg help file, additional content etc)

Portable -> doesn’t need installation. You just double click and it runs.
Normal -> needs installation and has a way bigger size than the portable one.

note that though portable arent installed they still leave traces on your system

keep in mind that porable versions sometimes have things ripped from them (eg portable games sometimes have cutscenes/fmvs removed, some versions of portable photoshop have some of the burshes removed etc)

you are right..but I prefer normal versions because Portable ones have some missing things..
