Vista doubles everything?

February 6th, 2020

I don’t know if anyone else has this but usually when I download something from rapidshare, click back, open a file, a program; it does it twice. I’m not sure why Vista does it, Im using Lite UA Build 1 but Im wondering if anyone knows what it might be and if theres a fix to it?

are you saying everything happens twice when you double click ?
if so win is set to single click for any action just set it back to click twice under tols folder options general
Answer #3
No thats not it hamish, good suggestion though. It seems as if MOST TIMES i click on something (saying its not a definite set thing) it will do it twice. Like instead of going back once, it goes back twice in a browser. When I go to download in rapidshare it opens the download thing twice making it impossible for me to download. When I open a game, it opens two. It doesn’t always happen but usually it does.
Answer #4
click back,
if you use the hot key combo to do that it go 2 ?
duz sound like it could be mouse problem , not a vista problem
got another mouse to try
usb ? try a diff port, PS2 ? is it plugged into the correct port ? the one furthest from the edge ?
uninstall the mouse from device mgr, reboot & let windows reinstall it to refresh the driver

Can’t say it’s happened with my Vista setup, although things can get a little weird when my wireless mouse is low on juice. Crazy button clicks, pages scrolling like my machine is possessed. Recharging my mouse always fixes it.

Since you have to help people in the Helpdesk, my advice is this:
Vista is ~love~, use XP Pro or OSX

Good advice, now go and give yourself an upper-cut. Merry Xmas.

A bit edited Vista with SP1 is still way better than XP. Most people are making programs for XP still, and have less problems with it. Vista is faster, runs programs and games better, the only problem is compatibility. Not worth getting vista unless u have a great cpu, at least 3gigs of ram, and a geforce 8800+, and like games alot, and use the SP1. The SP1 really does fix so damn much in Vista its unbelievable. Everythings faster, works better, and you dont have to worry about alot of dumb bugs it had.
Anyway, I got an older (2-3 years?) logitech G7 mouse that works just fine. When I use ALT + <– theres no problems, so its got to be a mouse thing. Probably that useless setpoint program that messes everything up.
