HELP! from VISTA to XP,

January 31st, 2020

hellow guys i bought this laptop HP-7-1130us with build in Vista premium 64bit,
but now i want to go back as XP, cuz my brother put some ~love~ that i counldt uninstall it, so now i boot it with a speedy vista ultimate 32 bit, but i want be able to reboot and format the whole hardrive , how can i do that? cuz i know if i put XP it wil format the hardrive for me,,
HELP plsss thx

Yea…Just boot with XP install CD…You will get the option to format…Don’t forget to download all the XP drivers before installing…

nooo it doesnt READ anything, it loadss and hten after a while doesnt go anymore, idk why, but i google it, and it says is something witht the build in vista , cuz i ahve another laptop with XP first, and then i upgraded it to vista, didnt like it, and now im back to XP, but i cant do it with this 1, idk why

you have already tried putting the XP disk in a formating ?

yep, i tried that yesterday, didnt work, i tried 2, but i donwloaded those, maybe i’ll try witht he XP os sp2 original , and if it doenst work:S then idk

dont you have a recovery drive? just hit like f 11 or something and do a system restore….i got a 64 bit system on vista and i did that….

Maybe you have a sata drive…Change AHCI to ATA (IDE) in your Bios or integrate the sata drivers to your XP CD…Or download one…There is also the option to copy the sata drivers to a floppy disk..

I think you should first format with a vista disc and then install XP and you shouldn’t any errors

idk , thats sounds too deep for me:P im afraid if i do that, i dont know how to fix it later,, , but can u format from a vista DVD? cuz since i have the vista speedy i didnt really see an option of formating my hardrive,

contact help and support…ask them how to roll your computer specifically back to the date it was shipped out of the factory (it should have any op system and stuff on it from when you got it) if you still cant roll it back from there…not sure what to tell ya….

Of course there is an option in vista..you click on the partition then you will see drive options at the bottom…click on it and you get the format option…..But that won’t help you..even if you format it when you boot with the XP CD…you drive won’t show and you are back to square one…

uhmm but if i can get a clean vista is still okay then, i’ll jsut ahve to live with it,
