[SOLVED]Memory Usage increased from 22%-50% suddenly

My laptops’s memory usage suddenly increased from 22% to 50% and is constant earlier when memory usage increased after some time it returns back to 22 % (as soon as the process using memory stops) Is it normal ? if not then how can i reduce it back to 22 % ??

What are the laptops specs? and what OS are you using?

Check for viruses, scan with Kaspersky…. the best thing

The first thing I would do is look in task manager and see what process is using the CPU..
EDIT….Oops! got the gauges mixed up, should have said memory usage..

Open Task manager & see which program consuming more memory & CPU

That´s assuming he´s using Windows, it could also be a 10+ year old laptop with 1GB of RAM where the addition of a browser addon could influence the RAM usage considerably, not enough info to chase malware with pitchforks.

does svchost.exe it the process you mentioned which consumes too much memory for sometime and dropped down later ?

Core i5 8gb ram 1tb 2gb Nvidia gpu
i am using windows 10
i scanned the system with kaspersky and eset malware checker(found nothing)
i even looked in task manager it was system process called system and compressed memory and Kaspersky’s Avp.exe which was eating my memory constantly
So i just turned off the laptop removed battery, turned on the laptop turned visualization of from the bios and then it came back to 18% (even lower than earlier)
