[Solved]Csrss.Exe and high memory usage

August 8th, 2013

Hey,
In my task manager, I can see that the csrss.exe process is using 213,948K memory. No CPU usage.
The csrss file does not exist outside of the system32.
I use Windows XP SP3 and ESET NOD32.
Is it a virus/trojan? or is it normal?

Client/Server Runtime Subsystem, or csrss.exe, is a component of the Microsoft Windows
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Client/Server_Runtime_Subsystem
you can run “process explorer” or “hijackThis” to see what’s using csrss
you have any visual or other customizations installed ?
