Reducing the noise from my laptops fans

February 6th, 2020

I’m running barely anything on my laptop, MSN, cryptload, that’s all the processes I’ve started myself. The rest are necessities.
But even at 33% RAM useage, my fans from my laptop are SO LOUD!
Is there a way I can silence them a little? I keep my laptop well ventilated to prevent overheating, so covering them isn’t an option for me.
Thanks,

you need to clean them they are probably loaded with dust so just take of the bottom cover and clean off the dust from the fan blades
if youve owned your laptop for longer then 3 months you need to do this

  1. Make sure the laptop is turned off
  2. take out battery
  3. take off back plate thing
  4. unplug fan and take out
  5. wipe off blades or use air hose to blow them off
  6. put everything back together

I agree ^^^ you need to clean fans. Turning fans off is a bad idea, there a programs for it but i do not recommend them. If you use them it will burn up your laptop, if you dont care if it burns up in a week then go use SpeedFan and turn fan off. You’ll have a melted PC in no time

Otherwise, get used to it. It cant be that loud and laptops dont have fans on all the time ONLY when its overheating it turns them on. Thats how my laptop is once it feels too hott it turns fan on for few mins and then shuts it off.

My fans are ALWAYS on. They never turn off unless my laptop is off also. I’ll clean the fans later on and re-post how it goes.
