Reducing the size of large video file to smaller one

I have video files of 1-2Gb that i want to reduce to smaller size without much of a quality loss.Is there any app available for that??Pls let me know
Like how the movies are posted in less than 500mb..i want to do similar thing except its not a movie…..

You can use any video conversion software (such as AVS Video Converter, Xilisoft, ImToo, TotalVideo, …).
To reduce the file size you can lower the bitrate of the video and change the extension. The best extension to drastically reduce file size is .mkv (though some programs do not support that).
What is the resolution and duration of your files?

U can encode those movies !! Like all the encoders does.

Yes & the smallest size /quality bit rate resolution is rmvb.

as someone said above…
Use convertors….
and reduce bitrates.. and extension…
Choose which suits you….
