Computer specs?
Answer #2
What are your computer specs? It could be a problem with them. Also, you can try the newest K-Lite Mega Codec Pack since it has a few good x264 codecs. You can get the latest version here:

Good luck mate ^_^

go to windows task manager. Check your cpu usage and ram. One of those might be your bottleneck. If one or more has 100%, its time to upgrade your hardware cpu/ram.

Answer #6

Answer #7
What does your task manager say?
have you run out of ram? Have many programs running in background?
Answer #8
1GB of RAM ……….. your OS will use 25/30 % of this without you doing anything …….. I would recommend you get at least another 1GB.
BTW are you using an ‘on-board’ graphics card??

I once ran into this problem with my old laptop, I tried downloading loads of codecs but it didn’t get any better. Eventually I found VLC player and it played them really well!

not necessarily. Only if the ram has reached his max. Close programs you dont use. It might help also.
Also new videocards process this itself instead of the cpu.
It can be his ram, cpu, or videocard. But he have to give us more info, before we conclude it is its lack of ram.
