Playing .mkv movies on Xbox 360

Xbox 360 still does not support .mkv files and I have a tonne of downloaded movies in .mkv format. Im just wondering if there is a way around this problem so that i can watch the films on the xbox? Streamings perhaps or anything else? Any suggestions would be great. Cheers.

You can also use Sorenson Squeeze 6.0.0.73 to convert MKV to MP4 for use on the Xbox. Maintains most of the quality.
