So should i choose fileindexer or one click encoder to encode the movie???
PLZ help
Try the one-click and if you like the results keep using it. If you don’t like it then use the advanced settings. Play around until you get a decent output. Use a small 10 minute file to run tests on until you’re happy.
one click encoder doesn’t work for me
Are you attempting to convert a Matroska file to burn to a DVD disc? I do the same thing, and I recommend you use ConvertXToDVD. It’s available here on this forum, and it works superbly. Every DVD I’ve burned using it has been worked. It’s also ‘intelligent’, if you know what I mean. When it is done converting the file and burning it to a disc (it does both), it will delete the file from your computer if you want it to. I have also tried DVD Flick, but it seems much slower than ConvertXToDVD. If you want to try it though, by all means do so. However, if you want to just use ConvertXToDVD and go with my recommendation, see below:

Dont do what you used to do open tools in megui and then click on avs script creator
All the stuff above with MeGUI is too complicated what with scripts and whatnot and don’t always produce good quality results.
If you’re looking to reduce the size of the MKV movie, a much easier way is to use Handbrake to convert the MKV to a lower video bitrate than the original.
Use MediaInfo to find the video bitrate of the movie you want to conver. In this case, it’s 3897 Kbps.
Load the video in Handbrake. Select the MKV format High profile. In the video tab, simply choose the target size of the new video or a lower average bitrate than the original video, in this case say half which comes out to 1,948
The coolest thing about Handbrake is you get to keep (passthrough) the original audio without having to re-convert it, in this case AC3 5.1 surround sound:
If the movie has subtitles, you can keep it too and even better, if it doesn’t, you can import a SRT:
This part is optional. Just like MeGUI, you can tweak the H.264 settings to your liking. You usually don’t have to change the default settings here unless you want to enhance the MKV in some way.
That’s it, click start and it will begin converting with no damn error messages. Just be aware that if you reduce the size of the MKV, the quality is going to decrease proportionally as well. Nothing you can do about that, but this way, you’re going to get the best possible quality.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks m8 ‘l give it a try
