Just reinstalled XP, what programs should I get

what other essentials should I get

Change Adobe reader to Foxit Reader Much small and quicker
Look at the link in my siggy And dont get any custom disk defraggers use the one from Windows XP its good enough. I recommend you also get Vmware and in you do dangerous browsing, ect.

So what is VMware, I have heard of it but never used it
Its the best OS virtualization program. What it does is let you install a virtual OS in it. Like Windows or Linux. What ever you do inside that virtual OS doesn’t affect your outer OS. So you can open dangerous cracks in the virtual OS and nothing bad will happen. If you install virus in the virtual OS all you do is right click and delete the virtual OS. Its that easy and yes as far as i know most viruses will not come out of the virtual machine unless you drag them out. So its safe for testing stuff. I highly recommend you get it. After all its free here in WBB

well anyway, the essentials would be a nice Antivirus program such as nod32, winrar, flashget, firefox, daemon tools… A good cd-burning tool (nero or InfraRecorder if you like opensource and light software)
Photoshop if you want to edit some pictures, add fake boobs on someone… and PeerGuardian if your afraid the FBI will break down your door and shove a “pirate” leg up your anus

Ok so I’m gonna get VMware thinstall, Your Uninstaller 2008, Spy Sweeper, and I already downloaded Adobe CS4 Master Collection with the crack so that covers alot of the other stuff I wanted
Other than that, I’m not sure I need anything else

I dont know if you figured out, but seeing someone just bumped this thread I’ll answer your question. So you got Vmware Workstation 6 right? You open it and then go to File, New, Virtual Machine, and set the amount of ram and HDD space you plan to give to the virtual machine. You choose whether its going to be a Linux OS or Windows. Also make sure you use a Bridged internet connection. Once you have that set up you start the virtual machine and install your OS as you would normally would do, you need to have CD in your CD drive for that or you can mount image and set it to read from the mounted image. You create partition, format as NTFS and install. Once you have your OS installed you click VM on the top and Install Vmware Tools. That should be it

ya i figured it out
at first I got vmware thinstall thinking that it was the same then I realized I was wrong and got workstation as well
I still love my thinstall though, been makin stuff portable for myself for a while now and my favorite thing I did so far was Call of Duty United Offensive so I could pllay in class :p
