I just reinstalled Windows XP (x86) and need some help.

I got all my drivers installed & everything is working good, but my computer tweaks out sometimes & gives me the blue screen. All my drivers are updated, but I’m not sure if I need drivers for my processor. It’s an AMD Athlon 64×2 Dual, I know there are drivers out there just not sure if I should install them.

It’s safe to install the AMD CPU driver…It can be a good thing too as it solves lag in some games…

system = 40c / 104f
cpu = 48c / 118f
don’t know if it’s bad or not, but my pc is like a tiny cube
Answer #8
that does not look bad, to me at all it could be a lot worse then that. My next question was how long does it take on average before you get a blue screen?

shibby haha. it’s really random, it just doesn’t do it by itself either. it happens mostly when i’m working on music, it’s really cpu intensive
Answer #10
Check out CoreTemp, it should show the temperature of your CPU.

ok, it may be dealing with the codecs, then if you said its with the music, reinstall audio drives, that could be the trick that is needed.
