Just reinstalled Windows XP

August 5th, 2016

Just done a format and reinstall Windows XP. I’ve done absolutely hundreds of reinstallions, of all the OS under the sun just about, for friends, and neighbours and my little village, but I’ve never done one on my own PC, now my PC is running just awesome, I’ve done it for the Christmas, as I’m gonna be installing alot of games, so all I have on my PC, is nothing unneeded just all the cool stuff I like.
Like AV, etc I’m not gonna be reinstalling every two minutes, as it takes quite a long time, 8 ish till 9:15, so yeah
Big thanks to Defcon2021 who saved my ass, as I had no room to backup, I made a 30GB Partition, filled it with 200MB of stuff, yeah no where near full I’ll have to check that.
I’m in an absolutely awesome mood, just a milestone with my new PC.

Well, nice job mate. You might want to make a recovery disk or a new recovery partition. They will help you restore your PC to the same condition as it is in now. That would mean that you wouldn’t have to format your HDD and install a clean copy of Windows. For a recovery disk get Norton Ghost and for a recovery partition Norton Partition Magic 8.05(as I have previously suggested). Good luck mate ^_^

Why re-install?
Once you have your PC working the way you want it to work, make an image using Acronis True Image. That way you can simply restore the image whenever you want in just a few minutes.

Well, that’s pretty much what I’ve suggested except that I suggested Norton Ghost or Norton Partition Magic. The result would be pretty much the same

I’d rather start clean, I had a keylogger, Rootkit I think, and alot of viruses which NOD32, Kaspersky could not detect.
