I cant run any programs

I need some help guys, one of my kids has messed about with my laptop. Everytime I try to run any program including system restore I get this message:
Paint cannot read this file
this is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported
I get this message when I try to open any program, I assume that some how they have made paint a default exe. for all my programs but how do I put things right, any idea’s would be greatfully appreciated

Any program? So when you say… try to open Notepad… what do you get?

notepad opens as notepad no problem

basicly somehow they have changed every file format to open in paint :S
try doing a raipar install or reformat

There is one way to prevent that from happening again, and doesn’t involve any PC skills… Just get them to go away, and create a pass log in, just in case they manage to open your laptop.
