what programs do i need with windows 7?

to run games, eg, the net framework stuff, directx that sort of thing, and links if anyone can assist?

If anything is needed it will be included when you install the game including the ones you listed..

Yeah whatever is needed will be installed automatically
just ensure you are protected with a strong firewall and antivirus

here is a great site for any fresh install, just select everything you want from browsers, utilities, security, image editors, media players etc, then just click the green “GET INSTALLER” button to download the launcher and it will silently install everything for you. There used to be more but pretty much all you need, CCleaner used to be on the list too but isn’t any longer, so be sure to download that elsewhere.
