iTunes importing problem

January 29th, 2020

Ok, so i downloaded an album from here, and it works fine on Windows Media Player, but the songs dont wanna import to iTunes, and i don’t think its iTunes, cus i can import other songs. Anyone know what might be wrong?
Answer #1
What format are the files in? I believe that iTunes can only play AAC (m4a or m4p extension) or MP3 audio formats. If they are WMAs, iTunes will not recognize them.
Answer #2
their MP3 =/

MP3s should work fine. Here’s some other things that might cause iTunes not to import…
Where did you get the album (specific w-bb topic link)?
The upload could be corrupted or have badly encoded files in it.
Does it play fine on WMP? You said that it imported fine, but does it play fine?
Again, could be corrupted files.
Is there any strange characters in the song tag (artist, album, etc) or file name?
Maybe iTunes can’t access it because of a character set issue.
Do you have both programs open at once? Maybe iTunes can’t access the file because WMP has it open.
Try forcing iTunes to open the file by right-clicking the file in explorer and selecting “Open with” from the context menu and choosing “iTunes” from the list of programs.

Well, they play on Windows Media Player, and changing the file names didn’t make any difference, and when i tell it to open with iTunes it does nothing after iTunes opens, doesn’t even get an error.

Answer #5
try to encode the mp3 to another type (like mp4a or wma) and then open them in iTunes.
iTunes will now decode the song and it should work fine;)
Answer #6
