Importing music into iTunes – auto converseion to 192kbps?

April 19th, 2014

Hey guys, I was wondering if there was a way to make all music imported into iTunes automatically convert to 192kbps to make the music files smaller. I can’t hear a difference anyway. I know if I do create Mp3, it will work, but it’s very inconvinient.
I tried changing music players not long ago, but I always end up reverting back to iTunes. Foobar especially after being recommended so much was too complicated to use D:
Thanks.

In iTunes press “Ctrl” and “,” at the same time ( edit > preferences shortcut). Change the import settings to what you want and press OK.

Yeah, you can convert all files into 128kbps AAC’s through iTunes. You can select this option when syncing your iPod/iPhone.
Or you can get Fairstars Audio Converter, somewhere on this forum, to convert the files to 192kbps. Hope that helps.

iTunes also does mp3, it is just set to ACC by default, so make sure you change it to mp3, and don’t use ACC!
And for a better music player recommendation, there is no where else to go but,
Spotify,

It won’t convert your music for you, but that’s what audio conversion software is for. Let your music player be designed to play music =D
