How to rip only the audio from a video file?

Hi guys,
I have some videos and I am saving like 700MB videos for just a song or music or sound track in that video lol.
I want to know is there any possible to rip only the audio from that video???
If yes then please help me what to do???
Or is there any appz which makes my work very simple
Please help me with the simplest way for extracting the audio

There are many methods depending upon the video container used. But for general use just using Media Player Classic DSM converter works fairly well.
Open the DSM converter in the File->utils menu.
Right click the window and add file.
then right click the audio and select demux.
Done

Also I am using Matroska pack… DSM wont interfere with Matroska???

It can extract most audio/video and other parts from files, including MKV’s.

I searched for DSM Converter but most sites shows about Total video converter
What should I do now?

Just use MKVToolnix to extract the audio file you want from a .mkv file.

use windows movie maker, open the video, delete the video file but not the audio, and exxtract it as a sound file
