How to fix a video file where the audio is 2 minutes ahead?

August 7th, 2013

all I can think of is extracting the audio, and then put it over the original or something? :s
Answer #1
Use a better player. VLC if you want self contained codecs, and MPC w/ K-Lite if you want them separate.
I think VLC might have options to offset the audio track as well…
Answer #2
Didnt real player have seperate program for that? Something like video doctor, I forgot the name.

I mixed that up, DivX Doctor I meant. Someone recommended that one to me once.

If the shift is constant throughout the video, then you could do it with Avidemux.
Load in the video and set video to “copy”.
You could set Audio to the same format as it was before ( eg. .mp3, .aac). ( but not just to “copy”)
Then tick “shift” and put in the amount of milliseconds + – that you require.
Set “format” to the original (eg..avi, .mkv)
Go to “Save” and save it off with a name and location of your choice.Click OK..
A new file should be saved with the audio shifted as specified.

Or maybe just changing the audio from VBR to CBR might help.
Avidemux will tell you if it is VBR and suggest to convert.
