How Do I Remove A Audio Stream From A Video File?

July 31st, 2016

I have a BRRip of this movie, but it has this annoying Russian audio stream, in fact this movie was labeled as Duel Audio Russian an English, yet… both if the audio streams I tried are Russian. Thing is… both audio streams consist of a Russ/Eng mix, you can clearly hear the English in the background of the Russian.
Is there an program that will allow me to eliminate the Russian stream?
I think it would be kinda difficult to eliminate one language without eliminating the other, considering both streams have Russ/English mixed in
What do you guys think?

I know what you mean.
I guess whoever ripped it stuffed up and mixed the audio together in both tracks!
Not much you can do with it, I would think..

Yeah… it’s a shame, you can hear the English audio loudly in addition to the Russian audio, so I assumed that if there was a way to cut out the Russian audio, but being as the RUSS-ENG audios are on the same stream, then removing the stream would remove all audio totally.
Crap!… cause this was one of the best copies of the movie I could find.
Yet the idiot that ripped this project stated that it was Duel Audio (ENG-RUSS), which is sorta is, but… this is ridiculous!
How are you going to rip a movie with 2 of the exact same audio streams

Use XMedia Coder (also free) – in the audio tab you can choose what streams you want to keep; video stream can be copied. I doubt if the two languages have been scrunched into the same stream – this would actually take some work.

Well the original language of the media file was English with Russian dubbed over it, the media file has two streams an both are Russian/English mixed.
You would not be able to stop a stream without all the sound stopping all together, an that goes for both streams.
Answer #5
Sorry – can’t do anything about that. Maybe you could learn to speak Russian?
Answer #6
I had a problem similar to that but in my case the speech chan wasn’t there at all just the background music and effects and I think my solution to the problem is your best and may be only way. So just download another copy of the movie with English audio and extract the audio track and replace Russ/English mixed one with that and so you can keep the better video quality and have English audio as you wanted
Answer #7
Use MKVExtractGUI to remove the unwanted audio track.
