Some of the offers you posted fron walmart are OK. You could also try ebay to get a used one.

Dont know if it works buying used over the internet.

If you have a local “Trading Post” that deals with stuff in your area, it can be handy..

I have a very old x86 PC which works fine for me, but I don’t play games on it.
You can buy stuff on ebay to upgrade very cheaply.
Intel pentium 4 3200mhz
Asus P5GD2-X motheboard
4 x 1gb DDR2-533 SDRAM
1 x Samsung 80gb HD
1 x Samsung 160gb HD
Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT graphics card
Of the above I upgraded the ram from 512 to 4gb by buying 4 x 1gb sticks good quality 2nd hand ram on ebay very cheaply.
I got the graphics card from and old computer for free.
I also got one of the HDs from an old computer for free.
AND I’m running Windows 8.1 on it with no problem whatsoever.
Apart from the ram the only other things I’ve had to buy is a new PSU which I got on ebay for £25 and an HP screen which I got new on ebay for £20.
With Christmas coming up you could upgrade quite cheaply by getting family and friends to buy the parts you need as Christmas presents or as vouchers for you to spend in a computer shop.
