how can i get 100 percent hd quality video to play from my computer to my tv?

Exactly, you plug it from DVI into a DVI port on your tv.
Or you guy a DVI -> HDMI cable or adaptor, and use that.

o ok so that will display at 1080p ok like this stuff i dont kno what tha hell is wat, im going into my second semester of computer engineering technology, is there some place that i can just read up on stuff like this

if the TV has an HDMI or VGA/DVI in socket run a cable from that to you monitor out plug on the PC
that’s what I do
cables & adapters are available, you just need to ID what you need do some searching on google for pics

if your video card can do 1080p or 720p resolution
google “setting up htpc” or “setting up home theater pc” or “setting up HD home theater pc” for info

To make this simple:
VGA displays SD
DVI displays HD.
You can convert HD->VGA with an adapter.

Remember 1080p means 1920×1080 resolution and 720p 1280×720. That’s what you should set your videocard to, or close to that
