DVD to x264 movie?

Soon I will get the DVD of daft punk interstella 5555, and I found out that are no x264 versions exist on this forum so I want to upload one here for all fans but I have no idea how to make a mkv file out of this..
so can somebody explain to me how I can do this?

Check out these links for programs that can encode x264 MKV’s. SUPER and Media Coder are the easiest and most complete.
