Dual core processors
February 2nd, 2020
may i run games asking for 2.4 ghz single core ?
I dun think games ask for a specific processor , its just the clock speed they ask for + RAM + GFX memory+GPU+DirectX compatibility *may b someone can correct me if im wrong*
Yes. If they mention 2.4ghz they usually mean a Pentium 4 (or Athlon) at 2,4ghz. A Core 2 Duo at 2.1ghz beats the crap out of that 2,4ghz P4 so you will be fine.
Naw im pretty sure your right .
Surely a Duel Core 2.1 would be ample to play a 2.4ghz specific game.
But yes, im open to correction too
Buth the game must be supported to play with an dual core otherwise it dont uses 2 cores
Yes, because the specifications are referring to either max. or minumum and if you have a dual core in the expected speed your fine, depending you have a good gpu,, some ram, and other stuff.
I have a 2.1ghz and can run 2.4ghz games however it doesnt run very well but its acceptable, in my opion quad core is the way to go.
so thats my dual core: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Processor ADO4000DDBOX – 2.10GHz, 1MB Cache, 1000MHz (2000 MT/s) FSB ), Brisbane, Dual-Core, Retail, Socket AM2, Processor with Fan
depends if the game uses( or can use) multi cpu’s.
If the game can only run on one cpu , the 2.4 will be faster otherwise you’re faster
and are correct the program game or other must be coded to take advantage of the dual cores or they will just use 1
oh thank you folk, this helps
but like some friend said even i f i get like a 2.5 ghz dual core it cant beat an 3.0ghz single core..

punch your friend in the face for lieing, well actually if it can the game can utilize multi cpus than the 2.5 Ghz will beat it which basically all new games do so u should be good
Trying installing the game to see if it run smooth.
And I don’t know why Intel produce a Duo or Quad CPU if it can’t support for game or use its full performance. ~lol~ If PS3 Cell (Single) CPU use on computer. Intel Quad CPU just can’t compete.
lol ps3 is rawkin
alex8 its the game that can,t support the dual core hardly intells fault
yes dual core is faster
example u have 2 geforce 7600gt u but them in SLI then there faster then 1 geforce 7600gt thats the same fore dual core
and what say depends if the game uses( or can use) multi cpu's.
If the game can only run on one cpu , the 2.4 will be faster otherwise you're faster
thats treu but the most games are dual core ready
I can’t imagine all the lies here……Even if the game is not optimised to take advantage of more than 1 core it will still beat pulp out of single core processors in games.

Why punch lol, BEAT HIM UP. Damn liar get him!! Obviously the dual core is better.. sigh.. Think of it this way:
Normal processer = 3.00 ghz
Dual core = 2.5 ghz x 2 = 5.ghz
Times two because its Dual Core, of course this isn’t the real amount but it’s close.
wow this is awesome loll
i cant imagine quad core thou LOL
have AMD X2 4.0gHz; 2GB RAM, Geforce 8600gt (256mb) and i play EVERYTHING what comes out! X2 procesors are PERW SUPERB! (i’m collecting money for quad!)
If a game uses mutliple threads, (what all do I think) they can run more efficiently on a dualcore.
definately mate you will be just fine
you pretty much ave 2 2.1ghz processor that share chache that is what dual core is same with wuad as far as i know
thanks people for yarr help
