Defragging recommendations

Hello all.
I’m wondering if anyone can suggest a good programme that can successfully defrag my laptop. I’ve tried windows and O and O but it always seems to stick at about 40% fragmented. I’m not really sure why.
Any tips or suggestions would really help me out.

install tune up utilities and it’ll perform defrag at periodic intervals automatically..

Are you sure it sticks at 40% because if there is an unusually large file to defrag and the disk hasn’t been defragmented before it can take a while. Also, you need to have enough free space on your HD to allow the defragmenting to occur. If you got no free space on your disk if won’t defag properly.

W7 also wants me to defrag once in 2 days,I have 1.5 TB HDD and I download a lot,that might be the problem for quick frags?

It runs in the background and defrags automatically. Just set it and forget it.
