copying – DVD’s – recommendations Please

Ive been loaned several DVD movies which I would like to copy to my own blank DVD’s , as Ive never does this before, can some one please recommend a program that is easy to use, for a beginner like my self,

You can use DVD Decrypter in ISO Read Mode. Then you can use it to burn the image to a DVD in ISO Write mode. You have to be sure that you have recordable DVDs that are large enough to hold the movie, which usually means they have to be the 8.5GB dual-layer DVD-R or DVD+R discs. You can shrink the movie down to fit on the “normal” 4.7GB discs by removing things and/or compressing the movie with software such as DVD Shrink, but that is a more involved process. Quality will be lost if you choose to shrink the main movie and not just remove extras. If you just copy the DVD with DVD Decrypter, you will get all the menus, audio tracks, subtitles and extra content that is on the DVD minus the CSS protection and region encoding.

Yes, DVD Shrink (freeware) does the trick in most cases although some of the newer copy protection might be a bit much for it…
Another good all in one app. is DVDFab 6..

Another thing would be Clone DVD….and with that you must have AnyDvd running in the background to remove copy protection…
Then general rule is just to copy the main movie and anything you really need if you a putting it on to a standard single layer DVD (DVD5)..This way there will be no or minimal compression..
If you want all extras and stuff then you would be best off using dual layer DVDs (DVD9)

Dvd Fab Platinum or Elby Clone Dvd 2. Both will decrypt ARccOS and CSS plus burn to Dvd

DVD Region + CSS Free for disabling copy protection and DVDShrink for fitting it into DVD5. But i would use Nero Recode to shrink original DVD9 to DVD5 since Nero Recode does a high quality job
