PC Game Recommendations?

August 7th, 2016

Hey everyone, about five months ago I built my first fairly high end gaming rig (ATI 7850 GPU w/ an i5 Intel 3570K, four core.) I’m loving finally being able to play new games, but I’ve been playing so many I’ve kind of hit a lull in finding new, engaging titles. I enjoy every genre, and recently have played quite a bit of Civilization V, Planetside 2, XCOM, SWTOR, and a few others. Can anyone recommend high quality PC games? Good graphics are nice but not necessarily a priority, so I don’t mind playing older titles.
Thanks in advance, and mods, I apologize if I posted this in the wrong section.

Haha, I forgot to mention, I’ve been playing through Far Cry 3 as well. You’re right though, it’s incredible! The sandbox approach to shootouts is great, so fun to pick some people off, sneak across a base and get a good angle on the others.

Not really sure what you’re looking for since you play all genres.. Here’s my list of favourites: Hitman series (all the games) , portal 2, need for speed most wanted, dragon age: origins, civilisation V.
Answer #10
Haha I am exactly in you’re position man, but here’s a few good titles you should try. The Withcer 2 Enhanced Edition (Must try!), Elder Scrolls Skyrim, Mass Effect (suggest you download the trilogy and play 1 through 3), Prince of Persia (SoT, WW, TT), Torchlight 2, Dungeon Siege 2 (Also a must!), Sudeki (is dated but I really enjoyed it),
Other than that you might wanna look into Free to play games, such as League of Legends. Neverwinter and Elder Scrolls online are coming out soon, you may be interested in those. Good hunting.
Answer #11
Hehe, it would seem we’re men of similar tastes, I’ve tried most all of these titles. I would definitely recommend everything listed here–though I haven’t tried the witcher 2 out, or prince of persia. Thanks for the recs and keep them coming while on the subject, if anybody likes strategy games I have to recommend the Close Combat series (they’re all basically the same engine with different content). Very fun top down war simulator.

The Walking Dead.
There is a reason this game won 70+ Game of the year awards. It is that good.
Actually took over my #1 game of all time spot.
Answer #13
Heroes of Might Magic III / IV Heroes of Newerth Morrowind or Skyrim
The Cave
Answer #14
Moved from Off-Topic to Helpdesk.

Spec Ops: The Line was supposedly a noteworthy game, not so much for it’s gameplay but rather it’s story. Might be worth a look at. The Walking Dead won game of the year so you definitely want to check that out. And if you enjoy stealth games, Mark of the Ninja, Hitman Absolution or the Splinter Cell series should scratch your itch!
