Hey im looking to hook my computer up to my tv.
I just want to download movies and watch them on my tv instead of on the computer and I need to know what lead to get.
I have a hd tv with AV + scart + a hdmi slot and a standard dell 3000
I am not very good with this sort of stuff so please try to explain as simple as possible, Thanks.

YOu need a firewire cable, you can pick one up at most computer stores, just ask the perosn at the counter for one.

no recommending this site to buy from(you can tho) was just the 1st hit on google
with a HDMI to DVI Cable you hook the PC up like a monitor
then set your resolution on the PC to match what your TV can except(720p – 1080p/i or whatever)
here are adapters that can convert VGA(normal monitor hook-up) to DVI if needed

I dont think I have any video outs. I have 3 pin like connections on the back a small blue one (my monitor is in) a larger green slot and an even larger red slot. I cant see anywhare the DVI lead would fit in.
Answer #4
a small blue one (my monitor is in
that would be the one that’s either VGA or DVI
the hdmi plug on you TV is the best one to hook up to
use the links I posted
see if you can find a cable or adapter/cable combo that connects your “small blue one” and the hdmi
