can’t get usb wifi adapter working.

January 27th, 2020

my built-in wifi on my laptop doesn’t work too well, so i bought a usb wifi adapter. i installed the utility that came with with it which should install the driver too,but when i plug in my usb wifi adapter, it doesn’t launch the utilitiy (which it should). i tried double clicking on the application, but still doesn’t launch. the light on wifi is blinking so it’s on. it works fine on my other 2 laptops. how do i check if windows accepted the usb?
is there any work around like can i just use the driver of the usb adapter, and windows wifi utilitiy?
running windows xp. using a zyxel utility, v220 usb adapter v2.0.

Disconnect it and uninstall the software that comes with it…It only complicate things…Connect it back and only install the driver…Just use the windows options to set it up…
