Any Good Anti-Virus Recommendations?

January 21st, 2020

I am Currently using ESET NOD32 Anti-Virus. It’s a Good anti-virus but it gets annoying having to change the product key over and over again. What’s a similar good anti-virus besides Nod32 that doesn’t require to activate it every month?
Answer #1
Avira/Avast/AVG are free ones and they’re preety good.
Plus if you use only safe websites and stuff you don’t really need to have any antivirus. People will recommend a shitton of software here but the truth is it all depends on you – even the best antivirus will fail if user isn’t smart enough.
Answer #2
nod32 or kaspersky
Answer #3
Box mara fix for the win, You can even use it to setup an update server for eset products on your network (therefore avoiding the need to run the patch on all other computers)

that’s not true, even a safe website can unknowingly be infected, and can infect you just by visiting that webpage. OP, try kaspersky internet security 2012. there is a resetter called KW.exe made by “kasperskyworld” (you can Google that if you want) it resets the trial for another 30 days, and works perfectly, no more searching for keys.. Don’t try KIS 2013, it won’t work. also, Kaspersky is the best for many reasons.
Answer #5
kaspersky pure 2012 with trial reset
Answer #6
I downloaded the new 2013 avg and its w8 friendly and I have been using there 2018 serial key for a few months no problem
Answer #7
Hi guys. I’ve always used McAfee for ten years and it never let me down, although sometimes the free AVG spots stuff that McA doesn’t. So i’ve been wanting to change to Kasprsky but i hear that even buying the retail version there’s some kind of pass resets from time to time? I don’t want a heavy AV sucking all the resources and calling for attention. Can anyone explain me this rumour? Thanks in advance
Answer #8
Kaspersky anyone antivirus or internet security or pure

Well, then if u buy the program (NOD32) there is a subscription up to 3 years, i take it u have the cracked one? sorry i dont know any about NOD32.
But im using Microsoft Security Essential, which working very good now been using it for 2 years and no problem. Its a free ware, but it doesnt have a built-in firewall so maybe u need another good firewall (I use COMODO Firewall)

I have been using Avast from the days when it was just 4.8 and really it has worked for me fine.
Now just a few days back Avast has upgraded to Version 8 (beta, i suppose).
I dont know which antivirus is better than whom but i know Avast has never dissapointed me yet.
Answer #12
OEM security suites are 15 dollars a year. I grabbed a Kaspersky 2012 and its running a 2013 version. They are getting better, based on power on hours instead of days, better value for the money.
Answer #13
avast! Free Antivirus 8
Answer #14
Eset Nod32
Answer #15
Here’s a different approach – NO ANTI-VIRUS
Create a clean Windows installation and setup with everything you want. Create a virtual machine of that physical drive. Run the VM to install those “special” apps or browsing to “interesting” sites. Add a firewall (windows 7/8 is pretty good now – just not easy to configure) like Windows Firewall Control (using the built-in but makes it so much more friendly).
You always have a clean machine – no performance hits – virustotal (and alternatives) are your friend.
I haven’t been hit by malware / virus in 5 years. Soooo….
Also remember – and THIS IS BIG
AV’s are PAID by companies to have files flagged as viruses. Adobe is probably the most common (re keygens etc.). Alas, if you are truly paranoid, pick any free AV – honestly – all get the obvious one and almost all miss the newest ones.
Answer #16
Or something similar to what said but easier – clean Windows installation without any antivirus software or such – just Malwarebytes scans from time to time (e.g. every month) + usage of brain – downloads from trusted sources, porn from trusted sources, no adverts in browsers and such – that small knowledge is enough to browse internet without getting infected.
And if you cant keep up and still get stuff on your machine – maybe Sandboxie? Or other virtualization software? That’s the layers of security almost nothing can breach, unlike Antiviruses that are vunerable all the time to 0day threats.
Answer #17
MSE + MalwareBytes Pro + Brain and you should be alright
Answer #18
bitdefender
Answer #19
Try clean install of Windows, add apps and updates then image. Add only apps that you plan to use long term and then re-image. Keep all other data, etc to other drive so the OS and APP drive stays pristine, or as clean as possible. Anytime a virus hits or malware, I do a scan of all drives and then reimage the OS+APP drive from the early clean one. I also use MSE and Malwarebytes.
Answer #20
Yes, do not use your computer
Answer #21
bitdefender
Now that is some good advice !!
Answer #22
I use avira
Answer #23
Avast free and Malwarebytes is the combination I use and it works just fine ……. Avast does pick up the odd crack as a threat though and can be a bit annoying when it gets rid of it whilst opening a .rar file. But just disable protection for 15 minutes whilst you install your stuff and the crack stays where it is.
