Do You Have A iPod Touch? Some Questions![SOLVED]

I’m getting ready to purchase an iPod Touch, the 8gig one and I have a few questions.
First, do you have to unlock your iPod Touch like you do with the iPhone, meaning you have to use iTunes to make it work or no?
Second, I want to add extra applications onto the iPod Touch, like Maps, Mail, Stocks etc because you can add just about everything thats on the iPhone, what do you have to do in order to do that?
Third, does the Safari browser on your iPod Touch has bookmarks so you can save your favorite websites or no? I have never really used Safari on a mac before as I have always used Firefox.
Thanks for any help. If you want to really help me, maybe add some places where I can watch or read tutorials. I’m so excited that I can finally get something really nice for once and that I have worked my ass off to get it as well, so its all the worth while.
Yeah, I seen a few videos on Youtube about Jailbreaking a iPod Touch but I thought Jailbreaking was something about bypassing activation for the iPhone. Does this same activation thing apply for the iPod Touch?

And about not jailbreaking the iPod Touch, I don’t think I’m going to be content with just the apps it comes with. If anything, I’ll just restore the thing back to its original default settings if I don’t like it.
