ipod touch 3g jailbreak help [SOLVED]

i’ve tryed a few times to jailbreak my ipod touch 3g but it won’t work for some reason :s
after a few try’s it still won’t work, so i gave up,
now after a few months i wan’t to try it again, do u guys know why it won’t work? and is that bad for my ipod when it fails a couple of times?

Upgrade to 4.1 with iTunes, use linera1n or greenpois0n to jailbreak.
u mean software for my ipod?

So ive try’d it but it still won’t work, like u said i use limera1n
EDIT: oke i found the problem, and their is a way to jailbreak it but im not going to do that, thanks for help
