[SOLVED]Quick question before I install Xp (again)…

February 10th, 2020

Basically I’ve got windows 7 installed, I like it but I still prefer Xp, If I was to dual booth Xp and windows 7, Would my start up be okay? Like, When I boot my computer up it will ask if I want windows 7 or windows Xp…
Thanks!

Answer #1
yes it will ask.. thats the only way it would know which os you want to start.. It should default to Windows 7 i think…. been a while since i dual booted… I removed the death grip i had on xp… you should do the same!
Answer #2
Nope…Your system will boot directly To XP…To fix it…Boot with you Windows 7 DVD and do a boot repair…
Answer #3
Then you would get an option to boot to either XP or Windows 7.
Answer #4
I couldve swore the windows boot manger comes on and gives you the option of loading windows 7 or an “earlier” version of windows… Like i said its been a while…

WordPress help

February 10th, 2020

Hi guys, i want to build a website for my company related to Security Sytems and Monitoring services. I had been trying to develop it via WordPress by installing the themes available. But so far i haven’t been able to get atleast the HomePage correct.
Please help me in finding good tutorials to learn wordpress and is there anyway i could get the exact design which is being shown in demo and then edit according to my needs?
Help me out guys!

Answer #1
Hi guys, i want to build a website for my company related to Security Sytems and Monitoring services
Then you’re going the wrong way about it!
This is not just an ordinary site you’re making, It’s a business site made to attract potential clients.
People are just not gonna take it seriously if it’d have an amateur looking design!
You’d be best paying a web designer for this task IMO.
But so far i haven't been able to get atleast the HomePage correct.
Mind being more specific?
Please help me in finding good tutorials to learn wordpress
Tried Google yet?
Answer #2
It will just be a basic website which will provide information about the service offered and also about the products being installed. Maximum of 5-7 pages will be created for this (No shopping cart stuff )
But so far i haven’t been able to get atleast the HomePage correct.
I tried designing the homepage with 2-3 sliding images of Intrusion systems, Sensors etc but so far have been unsuccessful in doing so
Yes i did try Google, but did not find any detailed information about this.
Pages such as
Products, About Us, Services, Clients, Contact Us will be created
Answer #3
Anybody to help?
Answer #4
I may not be able to help you, but I would suggest you to get it done through a web designer for the reason it takes days for you to complete, while it can be completed by a web designer in mere hours and that too the finished product will look more professional & polished(I myself built a website & I speak from my experience). And to add to that since you are looking for a basic website you can find someone to do this job as low as $30-40. And you can invest your precious time on other important things of yours. After the site is up you can maintain it by yourself.
Answer #5
The thing is i am free now and spend easily 2 weeks on the project and i like to learn new things too. Its just 5 pages so that shouldnt be a problem imo

Bug inside LED monitor

February 10th, 2020

Hello friends,
Well, this may sound strange, but I’m having an unique problem. I’m seeing a dark black shadow of a small bug (living – organic – insect) inside my LED screen. It is between the front facing glass and behind the graphics which is seen on the screen . I’m having Samsung SyncMaster S22B370 LED monitor:
http://ondeweb.in/unboxing-samsung-s22b370/
1. This happened just few hours ago (today) 2. It can be easily seen on bright screen (well, not so bright, normal brightness which is cool on eyes).
3. It’s size is : 1 pixel (wide) by one millimeter (long)
4. It is moving here and there on the screen. Eewww.. Grrr…. O my god 5. Sometimes it looks like “dead pixels”, and sometimes like a bug First I thought that it might be related to some mischievous program, so I shut down my computer and entered into BIOS, but it still can be seen Then I met my computer retailer and asked about this thing, and he looked at me in a strange way. (he never heard this kind of problem before).
Well, this is quite confusing for me, please suggest me something to do.. Thank you.

Answer #1
Sorry, This double post was not done intentionally.
Answer #2
Aahahahahaha! Cool story dude! I douse the bugs inside my screen with petrol and set them alight with a Zippo lighter …. I haven’t seen any for a while so I think they got the drift!! Not a lot you can do if it’s a living bug apart from take the monitor apart ….. personally, I’d just leave it and hope it dies eventually.

And what if it dies on the middle of the screen
It seems like I’m the only one here with this kind of problem

If it dies in the middle of your screen give it a decent burial …. pretend it’s a wabbit and put Bugs Bunny on the gravestone. If it dies it will rot slowly and if it were me I’d just keep tapping the screen and hope the remains eventually drop to the bottom.
And yes, it’s a unique (and rather funny) problem I haven’t come across before.
Answer #5
You could always drop a spider in to catch the bug but then you’ll need something to catch the spider, or find some spider images and try and scare it out OT: other than hoping it finds somewhere off screen to die, the only option to get rid of it is to dismantle

OT: other than hoping it finds somewhere off screen to die, the only option to get rid of it is to dismantle
lol I too hope it finds somewhere else to die. I don’t understand how a bug (or whatever) could enter inside the hi-tech sandwiched screen of a LED screen
EDIT:
I think it’s gone because it has not been seen since 4 hours. I hope it never come back like this

i just wonder if its worth keeping my rs account? everytime i try to download, it says file not avail online.
i assume its the copyright issue, and yet they still seem to be avail vis mu/hf etc

Answer #1
I’d ditch it rs is crap now

If not, Then you can still download something off RS I guess.

Is it on board sound or a sound card?
Answer #4
On board
Answer #5
That might be your issue, I found these pages which might help,
http://support.flstudio.com/knowledgebase/base.php?id=54&ans=26
http://www.flstudio.com/htmlhelp/
check “Underruns & Maximising Performance” on the right near the bottom.
Other than that you might want to invest in a sound card, that should help.
Answer #6
thanks alot for your help. Ive managed to reduce it slighlty, but I will probably need a computer upgrade soon!

Extract audio from FLV File

February 10th, 2020

How do i extract audio from this type of file…what do i need …???
I’m wanting to make a ringtone from the audio
the video is from this website.
http://g4tv.com/videos/43558/X-Play-1000-Celebration

Answer #1
Firstly you’re gonna want to code your link.
Secondly I use my Xilisoft mp4 converter to convert mpeg2s and flvs to mp3s – which is in effect what you’re wanting to do. You can select a start & end point before converting if you only want a bit of it for your ringtone.
Other methods are available, but this is how I do it.
BTW I use Internet Download Manager to download the flvs in the first place.
Other download managers are available, but they all suck.
Answer #2
I recommend xrecode II. I used it succesfully to extract audio from VOB, MPG, MKV, AVI, MP4 and some other file types I can’t remember now. It claims it can work on FLV but I never tried it out on FLV files. For some reason, every FLV file I ever come across had terrible quality compared to the other video file types. But hey, it won’t hurt to give it a try.
Answer #3
try the freeware Video to Mp3 software. I use that and i use to use their youtube to mp3 software.
Answer #4
You need a multimedia transcoder, like HandBrakehttp://handbrake.fr/
its better.
Its free and open source
even better.
Its cross-platform
a lot better.
Answer #5
if its FLV file, then, you don’t need any of that conversion software..just get “FLV Extract”…its freeware.

This site is a help forum specifically for NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS and the link will take you to the “ACER” section. Perhaps there is someone their with the same model, or close, that will upload them for you. It’s an EXCELLENT BOARD & they will help you if they can. GOOD LUCK.
