Set your optical drive to #1 on boot order in the BIOS.

how do i go about doing that i changed the boot order to cd being first then usb then floppy
Ok, so put a bootable CD into the drive and restart. You will be prompted with a dialogue
“Press any key to boot from CD or DVD…”
Then press the any key.

i did that but it wont give me the option too it just goes straight to the nvidia booting problem :/
What is an “nvidia booting problem”?
Is your ISO bootable?
it should be it say Nvidia booting but then fails and keeps trying
Your not being very clear. Is this at the post screen? Or during bootstrapping?
If your computer is not posting, you have a hardware issue.
If your computer is not booting from cd/dvd, you don’t have a bootable iso or your boot order is fudged up.
for some reason it keeps trying to boot nvidia after a couple seconds
that’s the onboard network card, it’s normal when no boot device found
you have a “boot menu” key (maybe F10 or F12) on the boot screen, where you can select the CD directly

i can select from the cd when its inside it? cause it will make life more easier

If your BIOS is detecting your CD drive, and you have a bootable CD inside the drive, you can select it from the boot menu and boot from it.

its not giving me the option

Then one of the conditions I mentioned earlier is not true. Which is it?
You need to be MUCH more detailed in your replies. I have no idea which option your not getting. Not going to pry information out of you to help you. If you want help, please explain yourself.

In the BIOS, does it see your optical drive?
Are you 100% sure you have a bootable disk in the drive?
When you open the boot menu as instructed by edwoodweb, do you see your optical drive there?
Can you even open the boot menu? You never told us if you got to that point (were not psychic).
If you got past post and are bootstrapping and there are no available boot devises, the “nvidia thing” must be your chipset.
Do you even know if your optical drive is working? Do you have another one to test? Now I am going out on a limb guessing because all the other questions are still unanswered. I understand you having trouble explaining it, but that’s no excuse to not give us ALL the details of your problem!
