Can you put mobile apps on a android tablet?

I have a LG Gslate from tmobile and am curious if I can put apps on it and if so would I have to it any different than those with phones?

You can install mobile apps but in rare cases, you will find the UI is messed up when viewed on a tablet. You should not have issues installing the majority of apps from the Android Market.
