FRAPS is lossless. If you plan on doing post editing and uploading to gaytub, its probably the best way to go. But you will get huge file sizes so re-encoding is a must and can only record your screen; then must upload afterwards.
XSplit is a complete recording and broadcasting solution. You will be able to record any part, of any screen, and arrange it any way you like. The video is compressed as it records so there is no need for re-encoding after your done. Furthermore, if your upload bandwidth is sufficient, you can record directly to a streaming/hosting site that will not only allow people to watch you live, if you choose, but host your file for you as well; eliminating the need for re-encoding and uploading. The second your done recording, your video is already encoded, uploaded and ready to be shared.
If you do post editing, this is not an option.

I use fraps + camtasis in mp4 quality.
that 4GB of raw uncompressed video ends up 100MB upload to YouTube.
I always delete the raw video after completition. So really all i have
is the 100 MB final production file.
change some fraps settings, one minute should not be 10GB’s

You edit the file that is recorded on Fraps with Camtasia?

There are many screencapture programs like Fraps, but I think you need to look into codecs and quality first.
Take a look at some tutorials online (YouTube is often very good for visual guides), and learn a little about encoding before creating videos.

Download DxTory:

There’s a cracked version on Warez-BB, just search for it.

Choose Half-Size instead of Full-Size in ‘Video Capture Settings’.
This will reduce the video size and will even make recording faster, however, games will be recorded in low quality.

I have recorded some games on 1920×1080 resolution, with 25FPS locked and record in full screen, the file is now around 1-2GB for few minutes, I went to Camtasia to edit the parts I need and saved it as .MP4 format, I want to upload to Youtube but I have a intro that is in .WMV, should I put all clips together using Camtasia or render it with Sony Vegas?

I use Camtasia to cut the clips that I need and then save it as .MP4, but on Sony Vegas, I render as .WMV so will it loose quality?
