Filming by different camera angle and position
November 30th, 2013
I am making a short film of 15 minutes and some scenes are going to be funny, but the other part is a documentary style. Thus, it gets boring when there is one camera angle.
I am trying to film with 2 different angles using one camera. Is it possible? Or do we need 2 cameras? If I use 1 camera, how do I change angle while the subject is speaking?
Please help me, any movie makers out there??? I need BIG help asap.
How are you going to have one camera in 2 places at 1 time?

Quantum camera?
Film each scene from each angle. Then, by editing, you can make 1 camera seem like many.
Yep, don’t film the entire act in one scene. Break it down just like they do in the movies.
Most of the time using more than one camera is not an option because the second camera would be seen by the first camera.
Figure out all the scene’s in each act, then shoot all the scenes with camera angle one (more than once so you can pick better takes), then move the camera and film all the scenes you want from the other angles.
Wise-San replied: If you want a scene filmed from more than one angle, you'll need more than one camera or you'll need to film the same scene twice from different angles.
Voltaire replied: Common sense is not so common.
What the hell am I reading?
