Red Faction Guerrilla on XP

Originally when i downloaded and installed Red Faction Guerrilla, i had Windows 7 Pro, and it installed and worked without a hitch. After i beat the game however, something happened to the game and it started crashing every time i launched it. I thought nothing of it, so i removed it. Now i have XP Pro on my computer, due to a Windows 7 crash a couple months later, and i’m having a problem with the game altogether. I have installed the game no problem, replaced the crack, but when i try to launch the game, nothing happens, you can hear the computer trying to load it, but nothing shows on the screen. When i go into processes, the game and the launcher show up, but they appear and disappear randomly. I tried killing their processes, but i couldn’t catch them as they moved around. I also tried doing a taskkill in the command line, but it returned an error. So i restarted, and found the new Skidrow update, downloaded and applied it, and now it launches, but i get a black screen, and it stops responding. Also, it won’t allow me to kill the process, so i have to emergency reboot the computer. What could be the problem here?

Your uploaded crack, for which version is that, the original, or the new Skidrow update?
