Burning a movie with .srt subtitles

I downloaded a movie and a seperate file with the subtitles that were in .srt format. I used the application of ConvertXtoDVD and added the subtitles manually. After I made the movie I went to watch it on my DVD player but the subtitles did not show up even though I searched for them.

With ConvertXtoDVD all you have to do is hit the subs button on your remote to turn them on if you burned them right. Try playing the file with WMP, VLC or BS Players and see if the subs work that way on your PC.
If the .srt is in the same folder as the .avi ConvertX will add them automatically.

ya hit the subtitle button on your remote and then select it there

I checked with the DVD players of my PC. When I searched for the subtitles I found two subtitle streams but when I pressed and they were checked I still didn’t see the subtitles, but they were added to the movie.
