CoD Modern Warfare 2 detecting on xfire?

The steam version of MW2 is supported on xfire but the skidrow release doesn’t have steam so xfire doesn’t detect it. Is there anyway to detect it?

Open XFire, Login, and go to Tools -> Options.
Select the “Game” tab.
Under “Not Installed” search the game you want XFire to detect. If it’s not in the list, then XFire does not support that game. If it is there – then you’re in luck… click on it and proceed. Select “Manual Setup” and locate the game’s .EXE file. Click Apply and hit ok.

Yeah. I did that but it says steam.exe wasn’t found as well as steamapps.

add that things in the folder . it’s simple to add steam.exe but I don’t know how to add Steamapps\*\ cause we don’t know folder name of * :p

Please make sure your xfire is up-to-date. Had the same problem, but after updating it was detected.
