Problem whit Call of Duty 2 Multiplayer

hey.
heres my problem:
when i open call of duty 2 multiplayer (CoD2MP_s.exe) i just get a black background and it doesnt run.
When i go to task manager it says the program is not responding.
Can you help me?

PS. Im using Windows Vista

rigth mouse button on cod2 icon -> properties ->compatibaliteit ->compatibaliteit modus-> windows xp service pack 2

Right click COD2 icon, properties, compatibility, computability modes, Windows XP.
