Does any one have the thread where the CD contains everything?

Answer #1
x86 is 32-bit operating systems. x64 is 64-bit operating systems, and is needed for if you want to use more than 3GB RAM. 64-bit is also a bit buggier and sometimes incompatible with some stuff, but not much of that still matters nowadays.
Answer #2
x86 refers to the actual instruction set of cpu for both 32 bit and 64 bit
x32 = 32 bit processors, though I have never seen it denoted that way it stand to reason given your other listings there. It could also refer to 32-bit programs but again, I’ve never seen it denoted that way.
x64 refers to either a 64-bit processor or the 64-bit version of Windows which is called surprise, surprise Windows x64.
x86 refers to an x86 processor, the architecture if you will. There are only two (consumer) types of architecture, PowerPC, used by Apple and x86 used by Intel and AMD. Most new x86 processors are 64-bit but they are not usually called x64 processors though you will see some programs denoted as x64 versions which means it will only run on a 64-bit processor. 32-bit programs will run on a 64-bit processor but programs that have any 16-bit component will not run under a 64-bit environment. In order to take advantage of the 64-bit nature of a processor you must also have a 64-bit operating system installed, like Windows x64, as above.
Answer #3
64-bit is also a bit buggier
How so? Example please? Been running x64 since early 2007. Every single bug that was specific to the x64 version of Vista was fixed in the first service pack.
Answer #4
if u need to check waht computer you have, since you cannot install a 32 bit OS on a 64 bit processer, do this, right click on MyComputer>> for XP Advanced tab>> then click Environmental Variables >> check Processor Architecture
for Vista>> click advanced system settings on the left, and then click Environmental Variables >> check Processor Architecture
x86 is a 32 bit processor, x64 is a 64bit processor
hope that helped
Answer #5
if u need to check waht computer you have, since you cannot install a 32 bit OS on a 64 bit processerWow where do you learn this stuff? It’s completely ridiculous.

That goes for me, too. If you have a 64bit processor, go for the 64bit OS.
Answer #7
I agree, 64bit has been fine, no bugs since the first service pack. And you can use a 32bit on any processor, be it a single core of quad core processor!

...since you cannot install a 32 bit OS on a 64 bit processer
yes you can , u can’t install a 64 bit OS on a 32 bit processor, hehe
