32″ TV

September 23rd, 2013

I am looking to buy a new TV soon. So I wanted to ask if someone could help me choose one. This is what I am looking for:
– 32″ (don’t want a big screen – this is for my room)
– Full HD 1080p
– LED (back-lit or edge-lit)
– NO 3D (don’t like it, gives me headaches!)
– 100Hz or more refresh rate
and finally I’m going to be using it to mostly play PS3 and watch movies and tv series. So can anyone help me please?
I kinda like this: Sony KDL-32EX520:

yeah i would have to agree with woot samsung tvs are amazing! we have a 40 downstairs new model with internet tvand everything and has a very nice user interface and never had any problems. however i personally have a sony bravia 32 in my bedroom and it has so many problems. Like the subtitles dont work half the time on digital tv (works downstairs) the remote i got supplied with was broken i had to buy a new one! go with samsung you wont regret it!
Answer #9
I have no problems with my Sony led 1080p great bit of kit, treat yourself
Answer #10
Sony Bravia are good but you only get 12 months warranty.
LG give 5 years on everything
I bought an LG 32 HD Digital LCD for the bedroom & it has been faultless for 5 years.
I am going to update to a newer LG after Christmas

I don’t think a Sony KDL-32EX520 has a refresh rate of 100Hz or above. If I’m not mistaken, it’s just 50Hz. Check it out here, http://asia.cnet.com/product/sony-bravia-kdl-40ex520-40-inch-lcd-45442366.htm
Personally, I’m using a Samsung UA40D5000PR. Since you’re living in Singapore (I guess…), I’ll recommend you a UA32D5000PM.

Buy a Tele that fits your budget, has Picture in Picture(PIP) so that it can run multiple like TELE and PSP
see to it that it has at least 2 of hdmi ports, PC connectivity port, SPDIF ports, 2 sets of AV input ports, USB ports.
The Screen for the Analog output is measured in ‘cm’/’Inches’ but the digital output is measured in pixels(The higher the pixel the better the quality)
The latest models support both NTSC and PAL so you would not have a problem playing PS3
LED are a bit costly where as the LCD is comparatively cheap. The brands that are good running in the market are
1. LG
2. Samsung
3. Sony
4. Toshiba
5. Panasonic.
I would personally go in for Toshiba because it plays 27 different video formats.
Answer #13
I would go for the SONY

Samsung. In my house we have a 55inch LG and a 46inch samsung. Both at full hd 1080p and you can see which one has better quality and samsung always tries to make their techs thin and trust me this tv is thin. Plus side on LG is that it has magic motion control which is like a playstation move or wii control.

Agreed with that one, to be honest to the OP. I have experience in almost all tv, all quality and such is not that good. Samsung offers the best quality out of all LED tv. I used to own a 32 inch Song Bravia tv, then I decided to get SAMSUNG and guess what, never look back at Panasonic, Sony, LG etc.
SAMSUNG FTW man, better colour, better quality, better time response and such. The truth have been told, amen.

I always either go LG or Samsung these days, I’m thinking about getting a new LG PZ850 60″ plasma for the living room for the kids to muck about with, it’s got that pentouch touchscreen stuff on it.
That’s if the wife hasn’t spent all my money on her Xmas shopping, lol
